GPT-6 Luna API in Russia — no VPN, no foreign card
GPT-6 Luna is OpenAI's smallest GPT-6 model: in OpenAI's words, its most efficient model for focused, high-volume tasks. Connect through RuAPI: pay in USDT from $5, no subscription, your key right after sign-up.
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(
api_key="sk-...",
base_url="https://www.ruapi.ai/v1",
)
resp = client.chat.completions.create(
model="gpt-6-luna",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Hello"}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)Replace sk-... with a key from the RuAPI Console — the model gpt-6-luna is already set.
GPT-6 Luna API price
Current price in US dollars — the same as on the pricing page. Pay in USDT, pay as you go, no subscription.
| model | input $ / 1M | output $ / 1M |
|---|---|---|
| gpt-6-luna | $0.12 cache read $0.0120 >272K: $0.24 | $0.60 >272K: $0.90 |
Input is the regular price of input tokens, “cache read” is the price of input tokens served from the prompt cache, output is the price of output tokens. The price in your account may be lower.
The grey “>272K” line is the vendor’s official tier for long prompts: when a prompt exceeds the threshold, the whole request is billed at that tier.
What is GPT-6 Luna
GPT-6 Luna was released on September 22, 2026, together with GPT-6 Sol. OpenAI calls it its most efficient model for focused, high-volume tasks. Its context and limits match the larger GPT-6 models: 1.05M tokens (up to 922K of input) and responses up to 128K; its knowledge goes up to May 18, 2026. The model accepts text and images and can return structured outputs.
Reasoning levels range from none to max, medium by default. According to OpenAI's docs, function calling in Chat Completions works for Luna only with reasoning_effort: none; if you need both reasoning and tools, use the Responses API. OpenAI names GPT-6 Luna as the replacement for gpt-5.4-nano and for several GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 snapshots, which OpenAI shuts down on January 14, 2027. If the input is longer than 272K tokens, the whole request is billed at the higher tier, just as with OpenAI.

What it’s good for
- Classifying, labeling and moderating large streams of text
- Extracting fields from emails, forms and documents into JSON
- Routing requests and simple steps in agents
- Moving integrations off GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 before they shut down
When another model is a better fit
- GPT-6 Sol — The larger GPT-6 model for complex code and agents — if Luna falls short on quality
- GPT-5.6 Luna — The previous Luna — if your prompts are already tuned for it
