GPT-6.1 Sol API price
Current price in US dollars — the same as on the pricing page. Pay in USDT, pay as you go, no subscription.
| model | input $ / 1M | output $ / 1M |
|---|---|---|
| gpt-6.1-sol | $2.40 cache read $0.12 >272K: $4.80 | $12.00 >272K: $18.00 |
Input is the regular price of input tokens, “cache read” is the price of input tokens served from the prompt cache, output is the price of output tokens. The price in your account may be lower.
The grey “>272K” line is the vendor’s official tier for long prompts: when a prompt exceeds the threshold, the whole request is billed at that tier.
What is GPT-6.1 Sol
GPT-6.1 Sol was released on September 29, 2026, and OpenAI lists it among its flagship models. It is a newer Sol model than GPT-6 Sol. It reasons before answering, accepts text and images, and replies in text. The context window is 1.05M tokens (up to 922K of input), responses run up to 128K tokens, and its knowledge goes up to April 30, 2026.
Reasoning is always on in GPT-6.1 Sol: reasoning effort ranges from low to max, medium by default, with no none or minimal level. So remove temperature, top_p, logprobs and top_logprobs from your requests. According to OpenAI's docs, tool calling for this model works through the Responses API, while Chat Completions is supported without tools — so connect agents that use tools through /v1/responses, which RuAPI supports. If the input is longer than 272K tokens, the whole request is billed at the higher tier, just as with OpenAI.

- Multi-step analysis, planning and working through edge cases
- Long documents and large codebases — up to 922K input tokens
- Reading screenshots, diagrams and scans alongside text instructions
When another model is a better fit
- GPT-6 Astra — In OpenAI's words, its most capable model — for tasks where GPT-6.1 Sol falls short on quality
- GPT-6 Sol — If your client only uses Chat Completions and needs tools: GPT-6 Sol supports function calling there with reasoning effort none
